Course Description: This foundational course introduces licensed professionals to the science of Trichology, the study of hair, scalp, and disorders that impact both. Students will gain a clear understanding of the anatomy and physiology of hair and scalp structures, the stages of hair growth, and the internal and external factors that influence hair health. This class is ideal for professionals ready to elevate their expertise and take a holistic, science-based approach to hair care and client consultations.

During this immersive introductory training, students will learn how to:
Understand the anatomy of the hair strand, follicle, and scalp
Identify the phases of the hair growth cycle and common disruptions
Recognize early signs of hair thinning, shedding, and scalp imbalance
Distinguish between cosmetic conditions and true medical/pathological hair concerns
Integrate holistic elements such as herbs, nutrition, stress, gut health, and lifestyle factors
Conduct a basic scalp and hair consultation rooted in Trichology principles
Communicate findings ethically and professionally to clients
Students will engage with diagrams, real-case examples, and guided observation exercises to build a strong scientific foundation before advancing into more technical CE courses.
