Professional credentials are issued through an independent board credentialing process following completion of approved education, examination, and competency review. These credentials are professional board credentials, not state-issued licenses or U.S. Department of Education–regulated academic degrees.
**These are professional, post-licensure credentials for licensed cosmetic arts practitioners, barbering practitioners, and health professionals. They do not confer state licensure, do not lead to teacher certification, and are not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Once you hold a certification, you may move into our Professional Credentialing Pathways, which are completed in levels.
Level I – Bachelor-Level Professional Credential (BST)
This level builds your academic and integrative foundation.
You start at Level I if:

You are beginning your professional credentialing journey
