Course Description:This in-depth workshop equips licensed professionals with the knowledge to identify, interpret, and support clients experiencing common and complex scalp disorders. Students will explore the root causes of inflammation, buildup, itching, flaking, and shedding, learning how these conditions correlate with internal health, lifestyle, stress, and environmental triggers. This course helps professionals confidently address scalp issues while understanding when to treat, when to refer, and how to incorporate holistic care.
Class Duration: 2 hours | Time: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
During this science-driven training, students will learn how to:
Identify conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, folliculitis, eczema, and dry scalp
Differentiate between fungal, bacterial, inflammatory, and autoimmune-related scalp concerns
Understand how hormones, medications, stress, and gut imbalance impact scalp health
Recognize early signs of scarring vs. non-scarring alopecia
Incorporate herbal, detox, and therapeutic scalp protocols safely and effectively
Build proper documentation and follow-up systems
Determine when a client requires referral to a medical professional
Students will analyze photos, case studies, and sample client histories to deepen their diagnostic lens and treatment planning skills.
